Sayres Lake

Sayres Lake

A beautiful, family oriented, forested campsite on the shores of Sayres lake.   Sayres has drive-in sites and walk-in sites.  There is a  limited day-use area, and an area to hand launch your boat, electric motors only. There is a steep grade gravel hill up to Sayres Lake and 4wd is recommended.

Campsites at Sayres are small and it is recommended you go take a look first if you are planning on camping here so you can check out the sites and the suitability of your vehicle and trailer for the road.

Pack it in - Pack it out, Campers are expected to carry out their own garbage

Bring your own clean trip kit including hand sanitizer and toilet paper

Maximum 6 people per single site, 12 people per double site, includes kids and visitors

Updates for Sayres Lake 2023

As of June 15, 2023 Sayres Lake campground has a $10 Visitor Fee, similar to other Recreation sites in the Chilliwack Forest District.  The Visitor Fee must be paid in cash and will apply to ANY vehicle in the Sayres Lake Rec Site  (excluding paid overnight campers).  A limited number of visitors will be permitted in the campground,  once our max occupancy is reached, no more visitors will be permitted on-site

Sayres Lake does not have much room for parking or day use and is quickly overcrowded.  When the campsite is full there is just no room for additional day users.  DAY USE WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE when the campsite is full or on any long weekends.  You will have to turn around and will not be permitted to drive through the campsite.

Sayres Lake is a non-motorized campsite, it is small and crowded and off road vehicles are not permitted in the lower campsite area or down by the lake.  This is for the safety of children playing, to reduce noise and dust, and to keep the camping experience nature based.

If you wish to use your ATV or off road vehicles while camping at Sayres you will be able to park it at the parking area by the Host site.  You will not be able to drive in/out of your campsite, with the exception of the upper sites #32-38.

Rocky Point and Rock Creek campsites are in the Stave West area and are fully motorized.
