South Sayres Group Site
The South Sayres Group Site will open on May 8th for the 2026 camping season. Reservations are available starting January 1st, 2026.
This waterfront group site, equipped with a dock, is ideal for small family or friend gatherings and is well-suited for activities such as paddle boarding, kayaking, and fishing. Prior to bringing a trailer, it is recommended to visit the site in advance to assess both the group area and road conditions for vehicle suitability. The site can accommodate up to four medium-sized trailers.
The maximum occupancy is 24 individuals, including children and visitors. Each reservation includes parking for six vehicles; additional vehicles are subject to an $18 per night fee. Grad parties, raves, and festivals are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate eviction without refund. Commercial or competitive use requires prior approval from RSTBC.
Quiet hours at South Sayres Group Site are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.; music and generators must be turned off during these times.
Prior to your arrival, you will receive further instructions by email regarding key pickup and other essential information.
Please note: A new gate has been installed at the entrance of the access road due to the development of the nearby gravel pit into a 4x4 Rescue Training Area.
All bookings for South Sayres Group Site, including reservation and camping fees, are non-refundable. Please carefully review your reservation dates before making payment.
Pack out all waste and recycling, as there are no garbage bins or disposal services on site.
Remember to bring sufficient drinking water, handwashing water, and toilet paper.

This is a remote campsite without services, there is no tap water, cell service, or garbage removal service. YOU PACK IT IN - YOU PACK IT OUT.
All visitors are required to exit the site by dusk.
Quiet time is 10pm – 8am, no exceptions. Let the sound of nature prevail.
Driving Directions
From Highway 7, Mission area
Turn North onto 287 Street, which is west of Mission on Highway 7. Follow 287 Street which changes into Wilson Street.
Continue on Wilson street, passing the Ruskin Dam, and at the next junction turn right onto Dewdney Trunk Road. Just before the Stave Falls Dam turn left onto Burma Rd/Florence Lake Forest Service Road, which is a gravel road.
South Sayres Group Site is located about 10 km or 15 minutes from where the road changes to gravel. Travel North up Florence Lake Forest Service Road about 9km, turn right at the fork in the road (left goes to Rocky Point Rec Site). Head up the hill towards Sayres Lake, you will notice a gate and a shared access road that leads to the second gate for the South Sayres Group Site on the right approximately 1km from the fork, turn in at the first gate and proceed to the second gate. This is the entrance to South Sayres Group Site.
